A daytrip with an unexpected Wow-Factor

Not every school trip starts in a museum where you walk under a digital waterfall, wander through a virtual jungle, or see your own artwork appear on a giant LED screen.
But Remastered in Rotterdam?
That one exceeded all expectations.
As a coach, I (Larissa) had the chance to join this one-of-a-kind experience during a school outing. And honestly? I was secretly even more excited than the students.
A Digital Art Experience Beneath the Erasmus Bridge
Remastered is anything but your typical museum.
It’s a full-on immersion into digital worlds, inspired by legendary artists like Bosch, Vermeer, and Mondrian reimagined with a bold, modern twist. You walk, float, jump, and stand wide-eyed in rooms filled with color, sound, and movement.
From a virtual ocean to a futuristic city, and from visual explosions to soothing lightscapes, every space surprises in a different way.
From Pencils to Pixels
One of the undeniable highlights?
Creating our own digital artwork.
After a quick scan, our drawings, from flying fish to colorful characters, came to life on Europe’s largest indoor LED screen. Seeing a simple sketch transform into a living part of the digital universe? Pure magic.

Why It Stuck With Me
As a guide, it was amazing to watch the students get completely drawn into the experience. No phones, no boredom, just wonder, creativity, and pure fun.
And I’ll admit it:
I walked around with my jaw on the floor too.
Remastered isn’t a museum – it’s a digital dreamworld.
Perfect if you're looking to experience Rotterdam in an unexpected, unforgettable way.
